World's Best Eggnog

This is the best eggnog I've ever tried! It takes some time to make and is horrible for you, but it is oh so delicious. Do yourself a favor and make some. Happy Christmas eve!

World's Best Eggnog by Matt Costello - makes 4 servings
4 eggs separated
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups whole milk
1 cup cream
1 whole nutmeg grated
A couple glugs good dark rum (we didn't add the rum but I bet it'd be good!)

1. Add sugar and egg yolks to bowl of stand mixer w/ whisk attachment. Beat at high speed util thick and creamy, carrying a "ribbon" when they drip off whisk.
2. Add cream, milk, rum and nutmeg to the yolk mixture - set aside.
3. Wash out mixer bowl.
4. Add remaining tablespoon sugar to egg whites and beat until a light meringue, until soft peaks form.
5. Fold egg whites into yolk mixture.
6. Serve immediately. YUM!
